Roberto Casula chose his career in the oil and gas industry after graduation, and his first success came when he joined Eni as a reservoir engineer in 1988 at the age of 26 years. He held number of positions in managerial capacity in Eni E&P during the short period of 2004-2005. His big role as CEO of EniMed SpA before appointment as Managing Director of Eni in Libya in 2005 is the exclusion managerial positions held by him. The year 2005 was a big boost in the career of Roberto with Eni.
Roberto’s impressive career with Eni
In July 2007 and December 2011, the appointments of Roberto Casula as Senior Vice President of operational and business activities in sub-Saharan Africa, and Executive Vice President of Eni E&P Division respectively burdened him with extended responsibilities. He owed additional responsibilities of the whole of Africa and the Middle East and charge of the development of the Mamba and Coral discoveries in Mozambique plan. He has been Eni’s Chief Development, Operations & Technology Officer from June 2014 till September 2018. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Versalis SpA (chemicals) from January 2017 to April 2018 while holding the position of Chairman of Italian Petroleum and Mining Industry Association from May 2016 to April 2018.
